TAEF CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF TUNISIAN JOURNALIST ZIED El HENI

The African Publishers Forum (TAEF) strongly condemns the arrest on 28 December 2023 of Tunisian journalist Zied Heni by the Tunisian authorities.

TAEF deplores the fact that Zied Heni is being taken into custody simply for expressing an opinion on a radio programme. Journalism is not a crime

TAEF calls for the immediate release of Zied Heni and the withdrawal of all charges against him.

Zied El Heni, a well-known and well-known professional journalist, was arrested in a context of shrinking freedoms in Tunisia.
